Twitter Party

As you know, James has been in the recording studio with James A. Michael for the past month. The StageIt show a few weeks ago was absolutely INCREDIBLE and we are REALLY loving the new songs!! A few days ago, James held an impromptu "Twitter Party" where he chatted with us and answered a few "we gotta know" questions. Here is a synopsis:
  • In response to "how will this album differ from MOABD?" James said, "I'm a part of writing EVERY song. All the songs are personal. It's less "metal" - really just creating our own sound, which is awesome!"
  • Q: Hey James, How many songs have you written while in Tenn? R u headed home this weekend?
A: Writing's going so good, we're gonna stay another 2 weeks! We've written around 20 phenomenal songs in 3 weeks!!
  • Q: When are you gonna tell us the Santa Cruz surprise???
    A: Soon...hopefully
    !!
  • Our own "ShaggyDurb" asked: "Is Rainbow In The Dark gonna be on the new record? Plzz say yes..." but James' reply was "It is not. We've tossed around a couple ideas for possible covers..."
  • James shared this inspirational news too: "Recording a new song about suicide prevention called "We Would've Loved You Anyway" as well as "Just wrote a new song called "Anarchy Rules". It's an oxymoron. Very tongue in cheek outlook on anarchy in the sense that it's dead."
  • And James answered a few of my tweets as well!!
Q: "Do you have a title for the album yet? I so love "Up The Waterfall" (your words on NY Ink with Ami)"
A: "Usually titles aren't chosen til the very end of the process. So no we don't have a title yet."
  • When asked about a release date (for at least the millionth time, I think!), James said, "Early 2013 I hope."
  • He was asked what it was like being in the studio for such long hours... " It's like a casino. You're in here for sooo long. We're underground so there's no windows. We get here early & leave late." They are working so hard - and with the expert influence and guidance of the awesome James A. Michael, this album is going to be EPIC!!!
  • And to those inevitable narrow-minded whiners who want everything metal-metal-metal, he had an excellent response: "Of course radio songs will be more "radio". We're gonna make a difference with this album!"
James, we'd like to remind you that you make a difference every. single. day. with your music, your example and your dedication to your family, friends and fans.
